Who?

The History of Baltrakon

Baltrakon was born from the collision of two twisted minds, that of Marc-André Roy and Manuel Piegon, two childhood friends who both shared the desire to expand and explode their common creativity.

In 2007, our little enterprise was born and with time, that business has become that of one man alone. Yes, I am that man, Marc-André Roy. Manu, my co-founder, has chosen to redirect his career ambitions in the field of thermoaeronauticalnuclears by becoming a pilot of a ADrymyelisepra 47 spaceship.

And so, one fateful day in May during a year that was not a leap year, I decided to create this small company with the undeclared goal of creating the world’s nicest t-shirts. In fact, the idea was to use this wonderful canvas which is the t-shirt to print upon my twisted designs. I had enough of having so many ideas that never saw the light of day. So, I took the unicorn by the horn and co-founded Baltrakon to be able to freely express all these little ideas that were coming out of my ears. Actually, Baltrakon is based on an infinite imagination that was given to me while hiking with an Amazonian tribe in the late 70’s when I was only 4 years old (doctors said it was malaria but I still believe it was imagination).

Bio

Before meeting Baltrakon, I gained much experience in several domains. I am a graduate in photography, wood-working (impressive right?) and served as a companion setter of flexible coating in the construction field.

However, the work that I do today within Baltrakon is one which I have learned, and continue to learn each and every day. At the moment, I occupy the positions of president, vice-president, general director, illustrator, graphic designer, production director, marketing director, silkscreen artist, human resources director, director of sales, accountant, shipping clerk and janitor. However, I could never accomplish what I do without the help of my precious collaborators.
